Per realtor:
Modern lake house on Lake Buchanan! Inspired by Paul Rudolph’s Umbrella House in 1950s Florida, this home is located on Shaw Island – known for its granite sand beaches. The home features cypress exterior siding and walls of glass windows. The living room’s sunken conversation area with huge stone fireplace is a great place to gather after a day on the lake. The gourmet kitchen with top of the line Jenn-Aire stainless appliances, granite counters, and custom cabinets is sure to please any chef. All of the baths feature Hakatai glass tile. The downstairs bath even has a steam shower. The floors are concrete, tile and tiger wood throughout. The fishing is incredible if you like to battle stripers in the morning. The lake is down considerably, but will hopefully rise with the spring rains. The lake at full level laps just below the granite boulders by the patio. This one of the few Texas lakes that has waves from time to time. Own one of the coolest homes on the lake.

I know that the builder intended to extend on the ‘umbrella’ but hasn’t yet (getting sidetracked by kids and such). A wonderful house and getaway.
Side note: The builder was Austin City Homes which you may remember building this Eichler inspired home.
Another one of Dan’s fine looking builds. We loved the Eichler inspired house and I’ll bet this one is no exception to Dan’s building rule of top quality materials first and foremost.
Keep building Dan!
